Frequently Asked Questions

I am currently working on paneling with insurance companies. If I am not in-network with your insurance company, you may have out of network (OON) benefits that you can use for therapy. See if your insurance company and specific plan provides OON benefits here. You will need your insurance card handy.

Have you ever understood why you feel the way you do, but your body still reacts like you’re not safe?

Like part of you knows you’re okay, but another part still feels anxious, shut down, or on edge?

Have you ever felt like you’ve done the surface-level work, but something deeper hasn’t shifted?

Have you ever wondered if the issue isn’t effort, but how your system learned to respond?

For many people, it’s not that you’re not trying hard enough...it’s that insight alone may not be the right tool for what your nervous system is holding.

In our work together, clients often begin to notice a shift in their body (less tension, less bracing). Shoulders soften, jaws unclench, and there’s a growing sense of ease.

Many describe it as their mind and body finally feeling more aligned.

I work with adults ages 18 and older. My practice is focused on trauma-informed care and may not be the right fit for individuals seeking crisis services or intensive, higher levels of care.

Many people reach out because something feels off, stuck, or incomplete, even if life looks “fine” on the outside. If you’re noticing patterns you want to change, feeling disconnected from yourself or others, or carrying the impact of past experiences, therapy may be a helpful next step.

If you’ve tried therapy before and found yourself thinking, “I understand why I feel this way, but I still feel stuck,” you’re not alone. I specialize in working with therapy-experienced clients who are ready to move beyond insight into deeper, lasting change.

I offer trauma-informed therapy for adults, with an attachment-focused approach that integrates nervous system regulation, EMDR therapy, and somatic-informed work. Our sessions are intentionally paced, with close attention to the therapeutic relationship, so you can experience meaningful, lasting healing rather than just temporary relief.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, though frequency may change over time depending on your needs, goals, and capacity. We will discuss pacing collaboratively and adjust as appropriate.

I understand that life happens. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed sessions are subject to the full session fee. Full details are provided during the intake process.

You can reach out through the contact form on this website to ask further questions or schedule an appointment. You can also reach me via phone or email. From there, we’ll determine whether working together feels like a good fit.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy approach that helps the brain and nervous system process experiences that may still feel unresolved. I use Attachment-Focused EMDR and integrate IFS-informed and somatic approaches, meaning we prioritize safety, relationship, and readiness before moving into deeper processing. EMDR does not require you to relive or retell everything in detail.

Yes. Christian counseling is available for clients who wish to integrate their faith into therapy. This is always client-led and approached in a respectful, thoughtful way that honors both psychological and spiritual perspectives.

Research shows that telehealth therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns. I offer therapy exclusively through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform and work intentionally to create a grounded, relational experience in a virtual setting.
